Disclaimer: This is a fantasy game so it does not involve real companies or individuals. The trading mechanics are completely different from the real life stock market so you cannot use the game to practice or learn about real world stock trading. The game is a work of fiction. All entities or individuals in the game are fictional. Any resemblance between in-game entities or individuals to real world entities or individuals is coincidental. Magic Market is a fantasy stock market trading game set in the Realm of Fortuna. It was designed as a card game to be played with 20-sided dice. The trading mechanics are different from real world stock trading. Here are the basics: 1. Each card represents one share of stock, and you can stack cards to buy multiple shares. 2. You can buy or sell cards or put them in your watchlist. Your watchlist and portfolio can have a maximum of 5 tickers. 3. If you already have 5 tickers in your watchlist or portfolio, you'll need to unwatch or sell cards before you can watch or buy new ones. 4. Every day you draw one new card from the deck. You can watch, buy, or fizz the card. Fizzing is short "financial wizardry." By fizzing a card, you discard it and get 10% of its share price added to your balance. You can only fizz new cards. 5. After each turn watching, buying, or selling cards, tap or click the ">>" button to advance. You'll be able to watch how your cards perform during the trading day. Each card gets a dice roll to see how it performs. 6. How each card performs depends on the performance modifier (PM) and volatility factor (VF) of the card. A positive PM helps the card gain value, and a negative one tends to make the card lose value. A higher VF makes the card gain or lose more per turn. 7. For a card with neutral stats, a dice roll of more than 10 results in a gain and less than 10 results in a loss. A roll of 20 counts as a critical roll. 8. Each card has an associated effect that will help you improve your returns depending on how you buy or sell your cards. Learning and using the effects in combination with other cards is the key to better returns. 9. Cards can provide dividends which will add gold to your balance, bailouts which will increase a card's share price, and buyouts which will discard the card and add its value to your balance. 10. The card types and gameplay are limited, but I may add more stuff in the future. Let me know if there are things you'd like to see improved. Enjoy!
